I have begun my BKP adventure
« on: October 24, 2006, 03:17:56 PM »
Well guys, thanks to Tim and this forum's members, I've ordered my ceramic warpig with a black cover. I'm really excited!

It took me a while to finally make the decision because I really like my current tone. But then again, I felt the same way about upgrading my gear when I had a $100 guitar and a $200 amp. Sometime you just have to go for it, I guess.

It sucks that I had no way to test out a BKP, but this is a risk I'm willing to take.

Now I just need to find someone to install it for me...I tried to replace a pickup this past weekend (take it out and put it back in), but I don't trust myself with it.

Before it comes, I'll be making a ton of "before" clips for a big before/after BKPs thread in the players forum.

You guys are great, thanks for all the help along the way...I think I read most of the topics on here and listened to every clip on every page of the players forum :)

I had tried some BKPs at the guitar show in wembley before I bought mine so I knew the quality. I tried a mule, crawler and miracle man in some of Tim's Les Pauls (including the Foster      ) and each one just seemed to get better! In the end I bought a pickup I hadn't tried, a Nailbomb and Irish Tour set, but I was so convinced of the quality that I knew I couldn't be disappointed, and I wasn't, and still aren't.

I give you my personal guarantee (for what it's worth) that you will be over the moon.

Meanwhile I'm agonizing over my next choice of pickups for my latest guitar :D

The Warlock looks cool and it was a steal at a duece-n-a- half. The Warpig should sound balls to the wall in it.
