In my LP there's a dink on the neck just before the heel, and I've noticed a laquer crack going across the neck from it.
Is it likely that this crack is in the wood aswell? Is there any way of telling? On the plus side it doesn't seem to be moving at the moment, although I havent had the guitar long.
I REALLY hope my neck doesn't just snap off one day. A real Nightmare situation.
Hopefully sometime in the near future i'll be getting the laquer removed from my neck by Feline; and i'd imagine that this'd make it a lot easier to assess the problem. It seems to be a common place to fracture aswell unfortunately; another one of my guitars has the same problem...
