It certainly looks interesting! It seems to be somewhere between a mosrite and alembic with certain fendery kinda touches. I'd be very interested to hear how it sounds when finished with that choice of woods and the higher output p-90's  :)

Cheers, loving the moserite and alembic references. IT will be interesting to hear, since I only play strats at the mo, I just want som nice P-90's for some over the top gain without losing my single coil tone, i'm not a fan of HBs in any guitar

Great shape Joe and the idea of the P90's would be fantastic.Out of interest, the neck pup seems very close to the bridge-is that the intent are are you just brainstorming.

It is because I play strats without a bridge pickup and I never use one, i wanted more of a middle position rather than a brdige pup

You mean neck right? Otherwise i'm confused  :)

But the design looks great and i like the P-90s idea.

Hey cooool, liking the design there joe  :D

Pickups wise why not use a mix, higher output in one and slightly lower in the other so it cleans up a bit better (presuming you use clean sounds that is ) just a suggestion.

fubar's description is bang on but it also reminds me of a somewhat angular-tilted red special.

Btw, what did you use to design that would be useful for my own custom design (if I can ever afford it  :( )

I used Adobe Illustrator to draw a line drawing and then photoshop to put in the wood and colours. Its pretty simple really just accurately drawing round stuff.

it would have a W/B/W pickguard. But maybe in aged white for some contrast. I have wanted an all white top guitar for a while, i love white strats with white pickguards too. When the time comes i can always make a couple to try em out
