Nailbomb for drop tunings?
« on: February 05, 2007, 11:22:35 PM »
Hello all, I just managed to acquire another Ibanez to put Bare Knuckles in!

So basically I want to use this Ibanez for a variety of things, and I'm looking a set of Nailbombs. How do Nailbomb sound for metal in drop tunings (Standard D or C or maybe drop B)?

Anyone who has experience with this please chime in!

The Nailbomb will handle low tunings just fine. Another great pickup for low tunings is the Warpig. Check some of the clips, most of them are in drop C and lower.

I actually already own a ceramic Warpig and it's going to be used for drop tunings...I just wanted a different pickup for my other drop tuned guitar.

Just listen to all the clips in the players section, especially ones by Drac.

The Crawler gets effin' brutal on low tunings, too.  Really unleashes the beast in there.
