and you shouldn't be worried about the bolt-on neck construction. neckthroughs are no better... in fact, a lot of neck throughs are overly bright sounding, because most have maple necks, and in a neckthrough the maple neck goes all the way through and has the pickups on that part of the body... tonewise, I would prefer a basswood body over a neckthrough with maple neck,, although I would still prefer mahogany over that ;)
these are great guitars... people recommend ibanez so much because the playability is really incredible. throw in a good pair of pickups and you have a great sounding guitar that plays as good as any out there
