pots and wiring come as standard?
« on: February 10, 2007, 11:34:30 PM »
hi all, i have my emg's on sale on ebay...and this will make me sound like a complete noob...but hey..i am...so dont judge me! i just got asked a question by a potential buyer asking me if i am selling the pickups with the pots and wiring or without the pots and wiring...i just need to know, if i sold them with the pots and wiring, then purchased bareknuckle pickups...would the bareknuckle pickups come with the pots and wiring to replace the original ones? ( this sounds  so long winded, but please im desperate to know! ) thanks alot to anyone that helps.

EMGs use 25k pots so they will be of no use to you if you're putting passive pickups in there.  standard pot values for passives are 250k for single coils and 500k for humbuckers.

I can't think of anyone who includes pots and wiring with their pickups except EMG when you purchase their 'sets'.

You would have to order pots, switches and wiring Adam. BKP do I think do a pre wired pick guard-certainly did when I last looked.
Send three and fourpence we're going to a dance
