I was just about to order my Mules...
« on: February 13, 2007, 10:39:04 PM »
...when the box appeared asking me if I wanted potted or unpotted. I've now read everything on the forum about potted vs unpotted, and now I'm so confused I don't know what my name is or where I live.  PDT_038

Heh that happens to me to, but it's usually after quite a few ales.

What stlye of music are you going to be playing mainly with this guitar? As that may help the musicians who've had experiance with these pick ups point you in the right direction.

Also you might get a better response if this was posted in the pick up forum, but crazier things have happened :-P

If you're a vintage freak and want an exact PAF replica, get unpotted. If that's not the case, and you really don't want squealing or uncontrollable feedback and you use a fair bit of gain, get them potted.

Ah-ha! That makes things a lot clearer! Thanks man, I appreciate it.

One set of potted zebra Mules duly ordered.

Literally cannot wait.
