ok..I am looking for the LOUDEST acoustic you guys have encountered...I currently have a taylor and Gibson acoustic, which are perfect live through PA..I am looking for a loud acoustic that will cut through in an all out acoustic situation-I play at a singer/songwriter deal each week, and with 5-6 half drunk hackers going at once, it is a little tough to cut through the "soup",as we call it-I am a lefty, so I need your help-I can't go to the local shop and play them off the wall..there are no lefty's!!local cats rave about the Martin D-28..thought I would throw it up to you knucklers..
thanks!!

Well, I am surely no specialist, but my Taylor Big Baby is dynamic and loud as hell. It cuts through the mix like a razorblade.

Less might be more when playing with others sometimes, as a full bodied tone can get lost in the mix.

What about a resonator- get the right one and they chuck it out a bit.

Beat me to it, 38th.
They're good if you can handle the somewhat different tone...

Getting the biggest guitar is usually a good way to a big sound, but you have to look at the woods and style of guitar too. A big body, with a sitka Spruce top wil be loud, or at least it should be if the company have built it correclty, thats usually a big IF. And if you find one that sounds great, and just right for you, don't wait and order one of the same model, becuase it will sound different.
