Don't know if this is common knowledge or not but I've just been reading about an outfit called Blackstar in the Music Trade News.

Apparently they're a bunch of ex-Marsheall execs who've decided to fly their own kite and market a range of valve effects; yep valve stomp boxes (easy on the stomp there boys) and valve amplification.

They're talking about "moving the valve amp onto the next level" with tone shaping that's gonna give musicians "the sound in their heads".

If your looking for an amp it could be worth waiting to see what it's all about.

Cheers,
Regards,
Bob Johnson

interesting... hadn't heard of them yet, bob. I bet they're worth checking out... though whether any of their stuff will make it over the irish sea any time soon remains to be seen...
