Bummer... he doesn't do custom orders anymore! He says in his Q&A's section he will only make 2-3 guitars per month to his spec and then put them up for sale on a first come first served basis.

I'm surprised you gents haven't seen the Bravewood site before, it's been giving me GAS for years!

Oh I knew it was there. It's just that I hadn't looked at it in ages and was trying to forget all about it!
I think I hate being indecisive.

All guitars should be stratocasters.

Or telecasters.
Wrong

Indeed. All guitars should be SGs - except for Telecasters and Stratocasters

There a sonic blue over sunburst I think, mine was a restoration, which I managed to convince him to do.

Bummer... he doesn't do custom orders anymore! He says in his Q&A's section he will only make 2-3 guitars per month to his spec and then put them up for sale on a first come first served basis.

He might be doing orders again, it's worth checking if you want one.

Cheers Phil, I will do. Do you know what kind of ballpark they are in pricewise. I don't want to embarrass myself if I call him up.

I'm not sure of the exact prices because I always order something a bit different.  However I think they are in the £1500-1800 range.

I'd love to give him a call but juts odn't have the money  :x

Those prices are (IMO) way better than anything the Fender Custom Shop can offer. I just hope they stay at a good level until I can afford to buy one!!!!!

OK, so I finally measured the DC on the pickups.

Each one is 5.6k (5.9 in the bridge I think) - so I suspect its slab boards in all positions. Now - thats not what I asked for (wanted the Gilmour or whatever its called in the bridge). But I'm quite impressed since the bridge position isn't ice picky in the slightest, despite having no tone control and handles a bit of poke.

I need to experiment more with the guitar. I may eventually change the pickups, even though they do sound very good.

Have been too busy for playing with amps lately, so have been using her late nights unplugged.
