Totally agree.  Guitar players are so locked in to the idea of the '59 Les Paul/'57 Strat as the yardsticks of tone.  You get these big pickup roundup reviews where they compare 10 different humbuckers to see which sounds most like a vintage PAF.  Bollocks to that, do they sound good?  :evil:

Maybe young players today haven't had that whole "everything made after 1965 is shitee" mentality drummed into them.  I hope so.
