True. It would be great to have a Gallop-like poll of the forum to see how many ppl play 7 vs 6 string, standard tuning v drop, etc.

I play 6's , 7's ..and just got my 8 string..it needs new pups bad..it comes stock with EMG's  only problem nobody makes an 8 string replacement pup yet.

 i have one of my 7's in drop A.

How much different is the 8-string to play compared to the 7's? and what 7's have you got?

Which 8-string have you bought ?
And by the way,there are 8 string replacement pickups available.
There's the Lundgren M8 and a guy i know in Australia even has a pair of 8 string BKP Warpigs that Tim made for/with him.
He had the bobbin faceplates machined and sent them to Tim and he did the rest.

I'm another 7 string player but i do still play my 6's too (tuned well  low).

do the 7-string BKPs have the same price as the 6-string BKPs?

today a friend played my Les Paul and fell in love with my HD/CS and now he wants the same pickups for his 7-string Ibanez with custom brazilian mahogany one-piece body
EVERY friend of mine who played my guitar after bare knuckles wants a Holy Diver and a Cold Sweat   :wink:

i think you will love your nailbomb 7. i ordered one for the neck of my new 7 stringer and a ceramic warpig for the bridge. i posted about it in the Gear forum. its a wicked combo. which position is your nailbomb?
