Pigtronix Disnortion...
« on: April 08, 2007, 07:06:30 PM »
... anybody played one?

I am still loosely looking for multi channel OD pedal to put in front of Laney LC15R. A fuzz could be nice as well since I was very impress with the sound Billy Gibbons has these days and would quite like to replicate it 5approximately).

Has Billy G switched again cos he was using the Hoochir Coochie Mama a few months ago.

Well apparently the pigtronix is supposed to sound like the good old Pignose amp, so I assume (a foolish thing to do) it's essentially the amp circuit from a pignose

As far as I am concerned the pignose was used by a certain Mr Zappa (amongst many others) so it would definately be worth tracking down & trying.

Last year it was the Foxx Tone Machines before that it was the Expandora, Billy is such a tart :)

Err sorry guys, Ive been awake too many hours and am doing an impersonation of a root vegatible

Pigtronix are different from the guys that make the pignose (sorry)

I havn't tried their distortion but Pigtronix are the guys that do the best eer non vintage phaser. If their distortion is of the same quality I'm not surprised the Reverent Willy is using them

My mistake :(
