Ive been offered a riff raff set for my esp ec-1000 and i was wondering how they handle gain. Ill mainy be playing bluesy rock to alternative hard rock maybe some metal as well although ive got an ibanez and another esp for that. Do they muddy up with alot of gain? as i need the guitar to be quite versitile. Cheers for any help.

I reckon they'd be great.  I've got them in an SG and they're much tighter then any other Alnico pickup I've tried but still have that non-ceramic warmth.  I may be able to do some clips this weekend if I can get my technology to work.  Do you want me try some heavier gain stuff?  What level are we talking - Iron Maiden levels???

I've stuck a few clips up in the players section.  See what you think:
