Or, has anyone tried a Custom 20?

Thanks

Im hoping to have a Custom 20 to check out within the next couple of weeks.  I hear good things about it.

I had a custom 20 2x10 combo for a while - the EL84s make it sound too boxy in the midrange and it wasn't quite loud enough to gig with.

For classic Hiwatt tone get one of the 50w DR-series heads.  I personally like the later 2-input versions as they have a bit more gain than the 4-inputters.

my uncle has an original custom 50.  It sucks. Boxy is a good word. Fizzy yess.  Lots of trebel, but not chimy.  NO BASS.  Lots of high mids to my ear.  Not sure about the new ones.
my maxon OD 808 really DOES make poop sound good
