well i have the miracle man in bridge pos on my mahogany agile al2500

http://www.rondomusic.net/al2500unionjack.html

spec wise its same as that  but black not gay ass UJ

i am wanting a neck pickup and cant decide between the two

i need the best cleans possible and a nice smooth lead tone

the lead tone will be for slower stuff not shredding as i am no shredder.

also clean tones that i like are like megadeths on the interlude of trust & holy wars and also hetfields cleans on fade to black and sanitarium.

i want it to be very full and thick sounding but also bright

and the distortion for leads id like it to be very nice and smooth like friedmans tone on songs like corazon de santiago.

also a lead tone like on comfortably numb would be good but i believe i can achieve that with mass amounts of reverb anyway.  :)

Hi,

Between the two, I would definately say Cold Sweat - especially if you have a Miracle Man bridge.

The Stormy Monday is open and clear sounding but not overtly bright and it's Alnico II magnet and wind make it pleasantly loose in the bass and sweet in the treble, instead of definitive and focused. I love my Stormy Mondays, but they need another low to moderate pickup in the bridge I.M.O and I feel will not meet your specific expectations.

I find the Stormy Monday best suited to Soul and Blues styles, with occasional excursions into Gary Moore territory.

So, for power balance and focus - I'd go with the Cold Sweats ...
