I'm going to be selling my VH100R head as its not my thing anymore- don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic amp, but i'm going back to a simple setup with JCM900 + Rat. My question to you guys is: when selling an amp, is it best to replace the powertubes before selling, or leave it so the buyer can decide which tubes they want to put in it?

(the amp will appear in the seconds out forum in due course, but not for a week or so)

IMO, leave it as is, unless the tubes are shot

I'd agree with Davey-the buyer can change them if he /she wants to. As long as it is working OK so they can hear the tone.

^ +1, as long as the amp is working fine just leave the old valves in there.

the only time I revalve an amp I'm selling is if the valves are screwed - nobody wants to buy an amp then have to revalve it straight away.
