Interesting day at work *Robbery*

I think it's unlikely that much/anything will come of it... i've been in plenty of situations where we've caught shoplifters (supermarket, stealing cosmetics and alcohol), and have multi-camera CCTV footage of them, the police will take them away in handcuffs but nothing will happen. We've only had one prosecution in about 3 years, and at the peak, we were having 2 or 3 big shoplifters a day! The police are pretty rubbish, but they probably have better things to be doing than dealing with shoplifting.

At least you're alright though! I once had my arm trapped in a car door (stolen car, no less!) whilst they drove away!

Always makes the day a little more interesting though :)

Reminds me of the dumbass co-worker at the petrol station I worked at during my Uni days.  Two of his mates ripped the place off (all the back room/safe stuff) while he was working a shift.

Where his story failed was that he claimed they broke in through the (metal reinforced) back door using a crow-bar to wedge the door open.  However, all the marks on the door were on the INSIDE

The cops took five minutes at the scene before they'd figured it all out and hauled his ass down to the station.
