my SL2H is my goto guitar for just about everything 6 string that I play.
It's got the usual duncan JB/Jazz combo in it and it sounds good but lately
 I find it "un -inspring"
it's a maple neck/alder wing version (some are mahogany)
what do you think would be a good BK replacement set?
I'm not un happy with the tone I get out of these, they just don't sound
as "alive" as I'd like them to be.
this guitar is my instrumental "shred" guitar
I play Satch/Vai/Greg Howe/Vinnie Moore/Andy Timmons etc .
I play thru a 5150 combo into a Carvin Legacy top (V30's)
but I am also getting a JSX head very soon. (keeping the 5150 just need some more versatility)

suggestions please.
thanks
Nick
can I be the devil on your shoulder?

Holy Diver - this is what it did for my RR1T :)

FWIW I also have an HD bridge in a Charvel 550XL (soloist shape alder/maple neck-thru w/Floyd) & it's fantastic in that too...
