Cornford, Rivera, Budda amps?

Anyone here have a Cornford MK50 amp? I'm after user opinions, particularly in regard to versatility in being able to get a good overdrive sound, but still being able to back off the guitar to get a clean sound without it being muddy.
Also has anyone used one with a non cornford cab, as a friend has a Marshall 2x12 JCM800 cab I could get cheapish, but don't want to spoil a good amp going through a cab that doesn't suit it.

I have done lots of research into amps trying to narrow my choice down to number that I might have the time to travel to the few places that stock upper end amps!
Lots have gone by the wayside due to features cost, the type of sound they are aimed at, and I think I am really down to 2 companies. Rivera and Cornford.
I really liked some of the sounds from the demos of the Quianna and Fandango. I think finding these to try may be hard though as it sems like most are made to order, especially as it is a head not a combo I am after.
As for Cornford, it is the Hellcat or MK50. The MK50 is looking the most suitable of the 2 as the twin master volumes are really handy in a 2 guitar band. The MKII has the advantage of a clean channle, but comes at a lot of extra cost.
In reality I rarely use much of a clean sound, and with the Trace Elliot Speed Twin I currently have I prefer to roll the volume back to get a just breaking up clean sound (though this amp isn't so good at this, hence one of the reasons for change), so maybe the standard MK50 would suit.

I'm hoping to try a MK50 this weekend in Oxford (the nearest dealer who has stock, still a 50 mile trek though), which will be the proof of the pudding.

Another amp that also might suit are the Budda amps, again heard some nice demo sounds, anyone had much to do with them?

Of course any of the amps means I will need to work out a way of adding a bypass circuit to my Digitech 2120 FX unit as I currently use the parallel FX loop on the Trace as the 2120 has no analogue bypass so I just add the FX sounds in parallel.
Les Paul Standard with Mules, Charvel Fusion, Cornford MK50H & 2x12, Trace Elliot Speed Twin C100.

I tried an MK2 at the weekend - I thought the crunch/overdrive was draw dropping.  Had good usuable cleans as well, but they did break up a little at higher volumes.

MM Music in Southampton are the main UK distributors for Rivera, and they always have a large range in stock.

As a Rivera user, I can't praise them enough - the versatility and build quality is un-rivaled, and the sounds are stunning throughout (I use an R55).

My experience from Cornfords is that they seem a little compressed to me, and there's also not as much gain on board as I'd have expected (still plenty for most occasions, though). When compared to the Riveras, for the money, I think the Cornfords are a little light on features. I also know an amp repairer who's had a few Cornfords in and not been blown away by the quality of the insides, but that is just one guy's opinion and I have no personal experience with that.

Having said all that, Guthrie Govan seems to get spectacularly good tones from his Cornford setup.....

A rather large +1 for the Rivera's though.

Sounds great, play a power chord and instantly everyone drops their drawers!

I played a Superdrive II 18 recently, it kicked ass - the mid poti pull function activates a completely different amp, much tighter and heavier, so you can have a very vintage rock tone and a nu metal kinda tone in one head. It's fun to play with lots of sustain / feedback too.
