Purchase Questions for Sinner
« on: June 14, 2007, 03:50:33 AM »
Buying to put into an American Stratocaster. 9.5" Radius Maple/Maple neck.

Vintage Stagger or Flat Profile? Have no clue here?

The pickups are white in the Stratocaster so white or parchment white for best match?

Since it is bridge and middle pup is already hum canceling does RW/RP matter for this? I figured stock would work here.

Also some excellent Sinner clips in here by the players. kudos for the time in doing this, helps make it easier to make decisions.

Thanks,

Tim

With a 9.5" radius, you could go either flat profile or vintage stagger - I think the Sinner comes standard with flat profile magnets, so I'd probably stick with that.

Is your Strat an American series, or a pre-2000 American Standard series?  Americans have parchment parts, American Standards have white.  Unless it's a Deluxe or something.

Am I right that you have Noiseless pickups in neck and middle?  In that case it'll make no difference if you have stock or RW/RP wiring for the bridge - you won't get hum-cancelling in the bridge+middle position.  Might as well go stock.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

It is a 2007 American Stratocaster, not deluxe. The Olympic White one.

Yes the pickups are noiseless.

Thanks for your input, from what you said I will go with the flat profile, stock, parchment white Sinner.

I am excited to get this and post some clips.
