Fat solo sound

For a 'fat' lead tone, in my experience for the bridge (warpig, ceramic warpig, miracle man, painkiller, nailbomb, crawler) I'd say nailbomb. Really ballsy and gutsy. Only thing to beware of with the nailbomb is its probably the least tight of those I've tried. Still way better than a JB though.

For fat and tight, painkiller. Painkillers do a stunning lamb of god sound, too  :twisted:

The nailbomb is a tight pickup, you donīt have to worry about getting it mushy or flabby on the bass... but, since i didnīt play any of the other metal BKP s i canīt comment on it. but as he said, and already played them(i assumed) then thats it.

I just love my miracle man and I'm very happy with it. It actually reminds me of the EMG81 somewhat, just that it sounds the way I always wanted my EMGs to sound.

The coolest part about the Miracle Man is that with more gain it also gets more focused, unlike other pickups which just get more distorted.

Holy shitee Erick, you make me wanting a calibrated set of COLD SWEATS

To my mind it's hard to beat a calibrated set of Cold Sweats if you want a great pup that can do anything.  I was really close to getting a MM for mine but switched to CS on Tim's suggestion and based on clips I've heard of the MM (including Tim's) and comparing it to what my Cold Sweats do, the CS can do anything the MM can but with loads more tone.
