Piledrivers in a MIM tele
« on: September 22, 2007, 02:27:33 PM »
Righty, arrived this morning and been chucked into my mexi tele.

Knocked up a short video for youtube to start, still need to suss how to record clips cheaply and on a Macbook. Plugging into the line in works via a buffered Boss pedal, but when I export the clip gets clipped to hell, even without compressing the file.

Here is the clip- gear is a Mexican Telecaster into a Boss TU-2 -> Boss HM-2 ->nyc big muff -> Vox Cambridge 15

The distorted sound is from the Muff.

I'm very impressed, loads of clarity and power BUT still manages to sound like a tele.

I'll do some proper clips if anyone is interested, not just me arseing around with riffs from the shins and the smashing pumpkins :D

Proper clip time, first attempt at recording too. Woo!

Piledriver equipped tele into a Boss TU-2 then into my Macbook's audio in. Seems to work, the tone is in the tuner...

Clean chords and me improvising around with the 'heavy blues' setting in garageband over the top.

Neck pickup for rhythm and the solo bit starts on the neck, then bridge for the minor section, then both together (standard tele switching) for the last bit.

Few mistakes, I'm not much of a flashy lead player, what the hell, sounds decent enough.

I'm so bored tonight, and this post has WAY too many short paragraphs in it already, may knock up a few more.

Bon Appatite

One more clip, this is too much fun.

Grunge setting in garageband for rhythm, scorching solo for the lead section. All on bridge pickup.

Man this is fun.

That second clip is cool - Piledrivers sound like Lester killers to me

BTW why do girls (Avril, Charlene, etc) seem to go for telecasters?
