I am afraid to say that floor covering is not pleasant.

Looks like a hord of rats with diarrhea have run across it.

I think that I have a mag at home with a Gary Moore interview in.  I'm 99% sure that it says why the guitar went and it's fairly innocent.  If I remeber, I'll have a look.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I bet he just got ahold of a prototype set of BKP PG Blues pickups and decided he didn't need the guitar any more.

He probably got quite a few prototypes - I think he was the one who commissioned them in the first place.
I too use chicken as a measurement.

He's living in a crack den, after spending all is money on the guitar.

Hmmm I keep on thinking about an SG with something like Stormy Mondays (and now wondering what would an SG with a PG set sound like)

Also didn't it's neck get snapped? I think I heard something about the LP being in Gary's boot and someone crashed into him, snapping the headstock.

Or am I making that up?

In the 4th photo you can see the repair job at the back of the headstock, running diagnal from the base of the headstock to the High E tuning gear, running past it actually.
