I like the custom 5 in my LP and coming out of a middy Marshall. Sounds huge, big fat open chords. But on the higher strings thinish.

I was looking for similar pup, little more output then custom 5 and better lead tone. I woudl like to stay alnico 5 since it has that great open big tone, not compressed like ceramic.

The Rebel Yell is the humbucker for this-DC14.45K Alnico V-good mid projection without any nasal honk and plenty of power too. A true classic rock humbucker that splits down well too.

Done! I got get the RY especially because the 59 in the neck i have now is too weak. I have heard RY neck is also very nice like CS kind off.

i had a 59 too.. the worst neck pickup ever!! no brightness, no volume, no mids, no sustain
switching to the neck was like rolling all the tone pot off and the volume pot to 3
absolutely muffled and toneless

cold sweat is like 500% better! :oops:
