Well i dunno if i have mentioned this before but last october my house was burgled and my only 2 guitars at the time were stolen

i found one last week in a store in leeds and notified the police they have taken the guitar and are just checking it with the description of the dents and marks that i described when it was stolen and they say i should have it back in my posession ina  few days

when it was stolen it had emgs but whoever stole it has replaced them with some other pickups

so when i get it back ill be BK'ing it

so here goes super strat

basswood body with carved maple top

im thinking nailbomb for bridge but unsure for the neck

any ideas????

and heres an old pic of the guitar

Sorry to hear about the burglary but happy to hear you got an old friend back. A Nailbomb will roar in that guitar! The natural choice for the neck pickup would be the NB neck, or perhaps a cold sweat given your music tastes. Is there a particular tone you're looking for?

Hmmmm, this thread makes me wander if i should take my favourite guitars to uni, or just the cheapest...
I'll probs take my Greco LP, as i love it LOADS and it only cost me £180.
That's well lucky that you found it! Congrats on getting her back. what kind of a bar-steward steals a man's passion, a man's dream, a man's livelihood, a man's guitar?!?!
LOVING the Mules!

I would strongly advise against taking anything expensive / rare to Uni, it will invariably get broken / puked on / sexually abused / stolen / all of the above within the first month. If you DO plan on taking anything valuable to uni, get a concrete floor anchor and chain your amp / axe to it.

My mate had his car broken into and his mountain bike stolen within months of him going to Uni.

I cant decide on this either, cos I want to take my LP as its my favourite, but I dont want it stolen or something.. then again if you get insurance it should be ok. My halls have really good security apparently, cctv, 24 hour "guards" ( ) and one of those posh electric gates that you can only get through with a special key fob thing

just bear in mind, if you like it that much, would you be able to buy another for £180?

That is one tasty guitar, glad to hear you got it back! I think a Nailbomb would definately roar in there! As for the neck I'm not really sure and I'll leave it up to more experianced forum members to advise.
