I can't remember if I posted about these amps before I was looking for a JTM head cabinet for my ceriatone (I will be ordering son...ohh YES!) but then I came across this video on youtube  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSmVcxG6SGA & I loved the tone, so I checked them out...http://www.metroamp.com/..they're a hell of a lot more expensive than ceritone & Martin @ Martamp...but I'm intruiged. Are they that good?

I personally think Metro Amps are a decent step up from Ceriatone in terms of attention to details, authenticity and quality (especially the transformers).

I don't think $1200 for a fully assembled 100w plexi clone is bad at all.

I've got a '76 Superbass so I'm sorted for that kind of tone.  If I was looking for another amp like that, I'd go with Metroamps because the parts are more authentic, especially the Mercury Magnetics output transformer.

It's the small details that Metro have got right, THAT's what makes them better than most of their rivals (imo) - that includes the current HW Marshalls.

You'd need to hear 'em side by side, but I'd put my money on the Metro - the culmative effect of the parts quality would make for a better amp imo.
