My girlfriend's sister dug out MGS, I loved it until MGS3, too damn weird with no explanations. That and the fact that my eyes can't tell the difference between jungle and guards in camouflage...

And Wez I'd love to do the 'black top' but I really don't think the red would work, could go to town on the whole guitar though... What do I have to do for the binding though? Tape it up?

yeah,   dont strip the guitar just give it a going over with 300 or so grit wet and dry paper then you tape all around the edge,  but its not worth taping the top.

after you have sprayed it black you will not be able to see the top of the binding so you have to scr@pe it back with a blade - razor blade or sharp stanley knife blade work well.  You hold it at a slight angle and drag it  gently around the top and it will remove the paint in a jiffy.

then you will probably need to tidy up the edge where you applied the tape as well because some always bleeds through.  Its easy to clean up but having some more black paint handy to touch up the edge is a good idea

then you clear it all to get it really shiny, this will also help level out the ledge left by the black paint

then you buff it too a shiny new guitar!!!

Wez! You beauty. I'm very tempted now. What paint do you people recommend?
