goddamn, thats a fine tune. never heard it before - just youtube'd it

i'm into all the suggestions i tried out - a bkp rock ballad compilation would be 1000x better than most of the cr@p on the market!!! :)

let's see,

Forever Free, W.A.S.P.

Rock Me, Great White

She Only, Great White

In A Darkened Room, Skid Row

She's An Angel, Love/Hate

Bringin' On The Heartbreak, Def Leppard

Ballad Of Dwight Fry, Alice Cooper

Underwater World, Hanoi Rocks

Think that'll do for now.  hmmm, mostly eighties there.  has the rock ballad become extinct?

i suppose that metal and hard rock as we knew it in the 70s and 80s, or even the 90s has dissappeared.

i'm sure some of the songs emo and indy bands are kranking out could be considered rock ballads - but they are not in this same kind of tradition. cheesy as they are, most of the songs mentioned on this thread manage to sound optimistic and powerful and might drive people to get over some sort of heartbreak or sad event. some very potent material indeed, very musical and well arranged. i've had that white lion tune on repeat for 5 or 6 times :)
