Well, this is it! My revamped Charvel ST Custom, with all new electrics including 2 new CTS 500k pots, a Schaller Megaswitch, and two calibrated BKP Nailbombs!

I have died and gone to heaven...

To be honest, it's taken me all day, and I'm knackered, haven't eaten, and have only had two cups of tea. However, I've had a quick go, both directly into the front of my Orange GRO100 and through my Digitech FX box.

The sound directly through the Orange is suprisingly vintage - almost Peter Green on the full bridge, which I love. Breaks up with volume (and if you really dig the pick in), which I love.

Neck sounds awesome - I've played a stacked humbucker in that position for so many years, I'd forgotton what you can get from a proper humpucker in that area... so full, almost jazzy. And LOTS of bass!

Through the FX is completely different. I'm going to have to completely rework all of the patches, to cope with the heat coming off the bridge - amazingly smooth distortion, drifting into creamy feedback so easily!

Wish there were more hours in the day...

Will try to post some soundclips tomorrow, although I'm on a pretty tight leash with the wife, given that I've spent all day doing this...

Cool! :D So the Schaller switch was a "P" after all? How does it sound in the in-between positions?

To be honest, I'm not sure - I wired it as per the instructions for the P switch, and it sounds like it's giving me the right options. Almost stratty in position 2 and 4. Not sure about the sound at the moment - I think I like it, but the drop in volume is quite pronounced in 2 and 4. Position 3 is really powerful, and it kinda mutes 2 and 4. But I guess that's the compromise with this sort of setup. It's hard to hear that nasel sound next to the power and midrange of the full bridge and neck.

It was actually a doddle to do the wiring. The hardest part was the pickguard. Although someone recommended using a Dremel, and I'm glad I did - made it so much easier!

Sounds about right, position 3 should be the outside coils in series so it ought to be more powerful than 2 or 4.

You could always try tapping the polepieces with a screwdriver or something to see which coils are active in each position.

Very nice goods man, love the amp sound alot!

I would personally rid myself of the multieffect and get some good tonemonsters in a stompbox. But probably you will find that out for yourself :P

You know, I think that I might be getting to that point...

The GNX3 is superb, but I was using it get "character" into my setup. But now everything just sounds so good, it's kinda pointless...

Hmmm... Much thinking still to do.

My wife plays her Nailbomb bridge through a Fuzz Factory into an Orange TT and it sounds great, you can get some great sounds from the FF, bit pricey though.
