Right, so TwinFan is the Noah of Amps too then.

Is that the "twin" in your name TF?

Nope, it's down to my love of twin cylinder motorbikes (mainly Ducatis).

I like to have two of stuff - then you have a spare.  Maybe it's a tad excessive

Actually I always wanted a second TinyTerror for gigging, but then the Budda came along and does exactly that with its own phat flavour and more power.

Surely you should be known as (at least) Quadruplefan by now with all the duplicate guitars/amps you've accummulated

Whenever I feel a little guilty that I've got too many guitars, I always have a look at yours or Phil Kings posts

Looks tasty Dave.  Not sure how accurate the single OT is though for a JTM45/100 - they had two 50w OT's running in parallel.

That looks more like the first 100w plexis with KT66s that Hendrix used.  I don't think Hendrix ever had a JTM45/100 - Townsend did, as did Marriot.

From Michael Doyle's book: " The sound character was quite different from that of the 50 watt, and it became even more pronounced when Marshall started to use single 100 watt output transformers for the first production models, made in late 1965."

Cheers Martin - beat me to it!  Only a handful of early prototypes had the twin transformers.

I used my JTM45 for a 'DC rehearsal tonight and while it sounded awesome, I was wishing for a bit more volume.

That's it, I'm doing a Robert Johnson.  I'm selling my soul to to the devil for a JTM45/100

I'm an IT Manager - nothing special.  I just happen to spend a lot on gear

I don't really drink and have no kids, so that helps  ;)
