I also used to keep tropical fish, then I went to uni and when I came back home from the 1st term all the bar-stewards were swimming upside down....
should have asked someone to feed them!!

we used to have a tortoise when i was very young. I remeber my Dad telling me that it had run away. As a very young infant i never thought to question this strange image.
Its not till i was down the pub with my dad a few years ago that i realised the truth - - - I dont know why but i mentioned the tortoise that ran away and my dad couldnt stop laughing, he couldnt believe i as a 24 yr old could still believe it. turns out it died during hibernation. Anyway, the point is that you shouldnt lie to your children - they may grow up deluded about the average land speed of a tortoise like me
