I should really put this in the xmas bkp post but they are my first BKP's so am excited.

I popped into Chandlers guitars on my way into London to get some strings and check the shop out as ive heard good things about that shop. Noticed they did BKP. I've been reading this forum for months and havent been able to decide. I knew i'd not be leaving empty handed so to speak.

Had a good chat about what I wanted and he phoned Tim to ask about delivery times and his opinion and i ordered a set. They were really helpful in te shop.

I'm getting a nickel plated mule in the neck and a zebra open black dog in the bridge. I'm putting them in a LP classic. Vintage colour.

I need to get my guitar looked at as there is lots of fret buzz so will get them to fix the guitar and install the pickups in the new year and then post pics and sound clips. :lol:

p.s thanks to Hunter and Tom for yours clips. Had to go with the Blackdog even tho I dont have a Shiva. I have to hope I can get that tone one day. Likewise great mules clips helped me make the decision

That sounds like a really cool set to go with. Very Jimmy Page. Welcome to the forums by the way, the "newbies" seem to fit right in. I love it here. Even though I get teased for using Fenders... Apparently I'm a "Gibson person"

Mark - you don't get teased for using Fenders - for that I would use my mouth on you in a pleasurable but ghei way, especially with the high gain monkeys on this board - its for misusing Fenders that you get teased :D

And you are a Gibson man - just one in the Gibson guitar user closet :twisted:

BTW Gizmo sounds like an awesome combo - clips pleasey - even if they are Gibson.......

I have a Les Paul... Don't worry, I'll be getting rid of my HSS Strat soon enough. Sounds good, doesn't play that nicely. In it's place shall be... A 72 Tele Deluxe. A bar-stewardisation of a tele, les paul and strat. Oh yes.

PLUS! My tele is a proper tele, so there! And I'll be getting a "normal" strat as well (the plan is anyway). So get it right up ye.
