Ha ha - top clip Hunter!! Like the way you had to get a bit of Led Zep in there ;) The Beat It part was inspired too!

Would you rate the pedal then? Worth buying? Not tone sucking in any way?

The CE-2 is very nice indeed. I have one (though I'm not sure whether it's made in Japan or Taiwan), and although its rather beaten up, it still sounds great.

errm, sounded so emo, I had to get the stairway out

Not tone sucking, looks cheapo plastic but has weight and quality.

Though I only tried it in the loop of the Budda. It is not true bypass, so I'll have to try in front of the amp to give a proper statement, will do tomorrow.

Are you planning to use it in the FX loop or in front?

I completely agree. That's why I bought one on the shopping trip I mentioned earlier in the thread. Didn't realise I hadn't closed this one off.....

I spent ages searching for "the" chorus pedal... the MXR SC is it for me, very tunable and such a warm, lush analog sound.

i thought about it for a long time too, ended up with the Analogman Chorus. was close between it and the Jacque, and to be honest it may have been appearance that swayed it :oops: although the A.Man is like the EHX while the Jacques is modelled after the original Roland/Boss.

it sounds good though, and i hope to spend more time with it soon. course, as is the way, i still might get a different one at some point :roll:

oh god aye, far too much to hope!! :roll: you know how it is here, you do all the research you can on these things then have to take a chance through mail order. unless you like cheap zoom multi fx and marshall mg's there's not much chance of trying anything out!

yeah, during my search i seriously considered both the Diamond and the Red Witch Empress, but they're both extemely expensive! ultimately i decided to go for simplicity. i do find that if you buy a complicated effect it's harder to get the best out of it and you often don't fully explore it's abilities. at least, that's my experience.
