This one started off as a Gary Moore-type thing, but didn't end up that way.  Just me messing around with a piano synth and getting some ambient "jape" onto an already nice tone - the sound is really wet!

It's taking ages to adjust the Nailbombs to a hight that works for me - still not there yet.

But working on it!

Forgive the cr@p keyboard work.

Thats a great tone, your clips keep getting better and better. Didnt really like the first one you put up but this is a vast improvement imo. Do some riffage with those same settings :D

That sounds really cool!  The guitar tone goes well with the piano.

Thanks very much, appreciate it.  I think that I'm starting to appreciate the whole sound generation thing.  To be honest, I've spent years (literally) just using multi FX and modelling pedals, and the whole "organic" tone thing is really new to me, despite having played pretty seriously for 20+ years..!

Nice tone!

HT-Dual green channel?  Doesn't sound noisy enough for the red  ;)

Red channel.  I know that the Blackstar Dual debate is going on elsewhere on this forum, but I find the two channels VERY different!

I was trying to get something like that intro to The Loner on Gary Moores Wild Frontier album (his finest, IMO).  Not quite there, but I think it's getting close...

Nice attempt!

I find the red channel can be a bit noisy when the gain is up high, so I tend to have it around 10 o'clock.  Where did you have it for that clip?

...  gosh, I was playing with the settings a lot...

I think it was around 12 O'clock.  I was playing quite loud for a home setting, but not loud enough for the higher gain settings to be anything but fizzy.  Also, I find less gain seems to work quite well with this particular setup.

Less is usually more, in my experience!  Low gain, and dig in hard  ;)

Oddly I have just had the best of Gary Moore in the CD player - the loner is a particular favourite of mine from him as well.

Your getting a very nice tone there and well recorded. I like the variations you bring to the main theme, but i would have been tempted to change key in the 'middle' bit to add more variety IMHO, but some really nice ideas going here and well worth fleshing out  - I liked it a lot :)

Change key?!?!  My skills as a pianist do NOT stretch to changing key...
