i'm still backing my megadrive (that's genesis to ben)... even though it's broken...
the megadrive was awesome the saturn and dreamcast were also awesome
Can you tell i love sega?
but since they arent here im backing the ps3 all the way
Saturn was, is and will always be my favorite system.
I hear Petrucci brings one with him on tour always, that's just pure awesomeness. :)
Really? what was good on the saturn? All i remember was Sega Rally.
I don't know if all of the games I loved playing on it were exclusive, but a few of them gave me fond memories.
guardian heroes - best 2d side scroller beat'em up ever, omg what a blast, beautiful animation, good story, lots of chaotic onscreen brawls.
bomberman, bomberman 3d - awesome party games.
various sonic games, sonic R, pretty cool racing/rpg type game
darius special(or something), and all these other vertical / horizontal shooters that I can't even remember the names of. But we used to play the cr@p outta them. :)
princess crown - cool RPG that uses some kind of vector sprite animation system, it's way awesome for its time.
panzer dragoon series - who could forget.
virtua fighter 2- even though I sucked at it, I played it till no tomorrow.
a whole bunch of SNK games were perfectly adapted to the saturn, those took away a good chunk of my life. they're WAY cheaper than the NeoGeo carts ($350 US) and they run like ass on the PSX.
and some of those games really influenced my guitar playing, they had some nice hardrock / shred / jazz tracks, good guitar playing on their King of Fighters ASTs (arranged soundtrack)
Nights Into Dreams, another classic.
J-League Soccer, I think this was developed by the Winning Eleven people?
Daytona USA.
Mr.Bones, freakin amazing sidescrolling platformer/puzzle game. Some stages are groove/music puzzles and come with nice funky blues soundtrack, one of the best games on the system.
Virtua Cop
the Die-Hard 3d beat'em up was pretty nice too.
That's all I could recall off the top of my head.
