Hey guys, I'm looking for a bridge pu for a H-s-s strat  with a baswood body/maple top/rosewood fretboard and vintage trem. The current pu ( Suhr SSH+) sounds too bright and compressed. I like the classic Plexi-driven hard  rock sounds of the 80's-90's with some fusion ability and the occasional foray into metallica-type metal. I'm leaning toward the VH ll or Holy Diver-any suggestions?
(the guitar has the traditional strat pickguard)

I think VHII is gonna be bright in that guitar. For my axis (also basswood/maple) Tim recommended RebelYell. But i would imagine a Holy Diver would be nice. Safe bet would be Mule, works in any guitar.

the VH2 is quite bright the mule is warmer, not darker just less of the high mids and treble I guess.

I think that maybe with a bright guitar and bright amp the VH2 might be a bit on the wrong side of things and a slightly warmer pickup might be suitable.
