Not sure what he's playing through there, although I know he endorses those Marshall mini stacks as his practice setup. Nonetheless, such emotion. Just goes to show you the kind of power you can conjour up with a guitar. Good stuff!!

Nice one  :D

I usually inhabit the mellow side of guitar, but I still ended up with four B.L.S albums and the 'Storm Troopin' DVD ( thanks to the peeps on here offering guidance).

We sometimes tend to forget that Zakk has solid roots in the blues and has more dimensions to him than his current projects.

Yeah, really good.  Makes me want to pick up the guitar initially, then when I realise that I'll never have that talent I want to put it straight back down again...

 :?

Definitely makes me want an LP though...  And long hair.

And a beard.

Which is all more likely than talent...

I've seen him live twice with Ozzy and once with BLS. He is an amazing player with a massive stage presance. I love his pentatonic stuff it sounds great for his kind of music. That super locrian stuff is for poofs! His tone is evil and his phrasing is just so tasty. I know he can be a bit of a sell out but so $%&#in what, if your mug enough to fall for all that then thats not his problem is it!!

yep, I think it was for Guitarist magazine as it the credits show it was recorded by Jan Cyrka (a Cornford user)

yep, some nice playing from Zakk there - slightly more restrained than usual.

Not going to say its cr@p, as its not, but that doesn't make me want to give up, or to go and pick it up. The first time I heard it, yeah, I did want to pick up my guitar, just to play that very first lick he does, and that was about it.

Just wish he played like that more though. Atleast he didn't have his damn chorus on

Zakk is incredibly versitile from songs like "spoke in the wheel" to Miracle Man to Machine Gun Man to In This River to songs like Grave Yard Disciples. I think a lot of his stuff gets lumped together without a fair judgement of everything he's done.

His first album with ozzy is my favourite ozzy album by far, but I also like Jake E Lee quite a lot.

Top guy, he's obviously caught up in a lot of marketing and image but thats gotta come with someone as high profile as Ozzy and I think through his music he's really stated how open minded/receptive and talented he is.. Although sometimes he does waffle a bit in his solos.

Yeah it was done in Jan Cyrkas house for guitarist, a couple of years ago (a whole series of them one afternoon apparently)

I can't remember which cornford, but it was also a stock Epi ZW model guitar (apparently he wanted to prove you didn't have to choose a Gibson LP to get a decent guitar)

The sad thing is on the series that he proves that he is versatile and tasteful, and then spends all his time trying to disprove the fact
Goodbye London !

He only plays what he's told to - but he is truly a spectacular guitarist, and doesn't get even a fraction of the recognition he deserves - My personal fave of his stuff:
