The thing about PRS - I think they feel and sound great, but the whole "lawyers guitar" really puts me off, I dont think they look amazing. I do like the black Mira though because it reminds me of an LP Jr a bit. I think I'll probably still end up with a PRS at some point.

I'm with you Tom, the only think I liked before now was the bird inlays. As an SG fan, the Mira really appealed to me though. Less flash, more function.

But -1 on the birds, I prefer moons for even less flash (birds wouldn't be a deal-breaker though

Well, I've always liked them and have never been put off them by the 'lawyers guitar' connotations. Think about all the vintage Gibbo 59 LP's and 50's strats that are being bought up by 'businessmen' etc- doesn't stop me wanting either!

Love my CE22 and will get a 24 fretter in a month or so-either a Mira or a CE24.

I thought of them as 'wall hangers' for years (that is somthing pretty to look at only) but after playing them I UNDERSTAND. Also, my SC245 back to back with a '89 Les Paul is better imo.

Nick, I love the one on the left. If it didnt have the birds it would look perfect to me. The models with the traditional LP style control layout look way better to me than 1 vol 1 tone and the switch in the usual PRS style like the one on the right, probably just because I'm used to the traditional style though and prefer it.

KNOW what ya mean Tom, thats my #1.
But the red one started it.
It has a natural neck (no lacquer) and is super comfortable. I am NOT a trem guy but like an EBMM etc. it is vintage style and is not a problem. The scale is 25" which is ok, and has a very nice coil tap.
I would think of selling her, but PRS has just discontinued them and I don't dislike her at all :) Just prefer the SC245 which is da dawgs dangly beets!

and they do sound a world apart tonally so give choice.

By the time you had saved for it you would have spent said money on several guitars/amps that you saw 'cheap' on ebay and then did'nt gel with making me an old man not fit enough to carry it to the Post Office ;) LOL.

The figuring is superb, really different. I'm surprised by how bright sounding it is - REALLY resonant wood with massive sustain.

I'm a PRS convert. It blows socks off what Gibson sell for £1000-ish.

yeah, prs are very nice guitars. not too keen on the prices of the "fancier" ones, though... :lol:
