Yep, as of the very near future all guitars get outlines except for the 513 which has it's own style of birds.

That's a strange one - I don't think it'll prove popular, I bet they'll go back to the old style before too long.  Apart from anything else, it must be harder work doing the outlines (I know it's CAD-assisted, but even so).

I hope they're not going to switch to outline-moons as well?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Maybe harder work but maybe marginally cheaper in the long-run?

Maybe Paul is looking to save a few pennies in mother of pearl. Who knows.

Indeed not, I was being facetious.  But they could leave out the abalone "shadow" part of the moon and have a series of little crescents.  If would look rubbish though.

Ibanez are doing something similar with their sharktooth inlays, it's not a full shape, instead it's outlined. A *Wedge* Sharktooth, but they have a *Deluxe* Sharktooth too.

I hate those friggin' birds anyway... PDT_029

Mind you I don't like fancy inlays anyway. Don't get me started on those Vai Jem necks...

I think I like your black axe Philly, but I would get a tortie plate made so it matches your black SG X. That axe looks very cool.

Cheers Ted!  That is a possibility, as is black pearl... but I do like having the matching Mira truss rod cover.

But anyway, everything stays as it is for a good while yet!

Yep, even pickups   .

I will say that if/when I switch to BKPs they'll be some combination of Mules, SMs or Riff Raffs.  With covers.  But we'll see.

I had a custom 24 with Birds, I never took well to it so it's gone.

Philly Q the Mira is very nice, I thought about  getting one of them before I decided on the Blackmachine, but who knows what fleabay special pops up, there may be one in my future yet.

Best of luck with your PRS, Mira.
