I want to change my Manson Hawks P90s (KAs) to Humbuckers can they be custom built? Crawlers specs. Cheers

You need to check with Tim about custom builds, send him an email he's pretty accomodating. (Use the contact us page).

I dont think that it is something that Tim will offer with his current style of manufacture (but worth asking)

In the past I have used handmade versions made by Kent Armstrong where it is all moulded into a P90 size shell and I recall that Dimarzio did something in that vein too

Yeah, DiMarzio still do 5 or 6 different P-90 sized HB models. Some are meant to sound like P-90s, others like HBs (Super Distortion and Tone Zone). If you take the covers off they're basically smaller-than-usual HB bobbins on a P-90 sized baseplate.

You might be able to get some DMs and have them rewound by Tim, but it would cost a lot of money!

Aren't mini humbuckers around the size of a P90, and the ones Tim made were mounted with a modified P90 thing?

Yeah, good point. The pickups are smaller than P-90s, but the LP Deluxe mounting rings are modified P-90 covers like this one.

I'm going to put minis in one of my Juniors, with a modified dogear P-90 cover as the mounting ring.
