Mother's Milk and BK Tremolo!

Evenin' fells

Been a long time, too long in fact - being that my user name and website is now completely out of date. Anyway....

Finally got round to ordering some mothers Milks for a new project. Adding to my strat collection (i say collection, its 3, but anyway), I got a nice white body off ebay, putting my maple/rosewood mex neck on it and chucking in the MMs.

Here's the fun part... When having my chat with Tim, I said I was going to get a wilkinson bridge, but he mentioned that he has now started making Original Spec 50's trems. I'm sure this will have come up before, but as I say, it's been a long time since I've posted.

So, the trem, as you may well know, is all cold rolled solid steel, awesome. I'll post some picks when it arrives the end of this week.

I'll get some more picks of my rehearsal room too, filled with silly amounts of gear and pedals... check out www.bythedorciadeceived.com, my new home as it were

Enjoy

Joe

Hmm... i don't know a great deal about fender trems, all i know is the only one i want is the Wilkinson Tremolo, as far as i know it's THE most stable trem of it's kinda, and Andy Timmons uses it ;) with Sperzel locking tuners...

I can't get my head around it, surely something which was designed in the 50's is just a novelty item, and would go out of tune like crazy? i'm confused to say the least!

Someone shed some light on this for me...?

a well made well, well set-up traditional trem will function brilliantly for the job it was intended to do.  not so good for extreme dive bombing but combined with locking tuners and a well cut nut there is no need for tuning instability for most styles

the fact is most guitars are made almost completely with the original 50's designs, doesnt make them novelty items... especially not on a forum of a pickup maker who sells so many pickups based on being authentic to those 50's items

Hi fellas, thanks for the welcome back...

The site should be fine, the comma at the end was not part of the address. Go to the myspace section, there's pics of the band on there, and there's some of our gear if you go to the fans section, and then the forum - in the gear section, but I need to get pics of my stuff. I'll post them soon

:-) I'll keep you posted on how my sexy new trem is, i cannae wait :-)

I am mightily intrigued by this tremolo thing....

Will it feature "Pat. Pending" saddles?

We're making the vintage accurate trem for the simple reason that they sound the best and also return the pitch accurately. These are certainly not novelty items, they're handmade and serious look the business as well as sounding amazing.

Ah i understand now, im too used to floyd rose style trems with they're many variations.

I may be in the market for one when i get around to doing my bits strat then.

How long before BK are doing tuners, body bits etc? :) I'd love to make a completely BK guitar...

We've only just finished them hence why they're not on the site yet. They are available to order and I'll get something up in the shop as soon as I've some decent pics.
