Never played a Ping OFR onciously, but have played plenty of Schallers - and I know they're good. Sounds like a nice deal, gunslingers are ace.

Where are the new BC Rich Gunslingers made?  I know the Czech-made Calibre series guitars have Schaller hardware.

you mean schallers, or schaller-made OFRs? not that it really matters, both are good (but feel slightly different). :)
