it means variable bit rate. usually mp3's are 128kbps cbr (constant bit rate) but with vbr its only using how much the song needs at the time. a good idea in theory but many players don't like vbr files so it is rarely used.

Whoooo - great clips.

Thought I'd check 'em out after my Explorer pickup question. This is leaning me towards Emeralds now!
