A Matamp can be customised to your spec, including speakers, but they are pricey.  You get what you pay for though.  Hunter reckons the VM sounds best with Greenbacks, so I'd avoid the Orange cab as it has V30s.

If you want a VM, I'd get the matching 425A or B cab.

If you go for a 1987X, then I'd get a 1960TV or a 1960AX or BX Marshall with Greenbacks.

Or you could get a clone, like a Martamp.........  ;)

NB: I can't deliver and the cab is based in King's Cross, London!

I have a "WHITE" cab that I'm looking to sell. Its essentially a Matamp cab made in the 70's (I think). Its in black basketweave, no marks anywhere (really amazing condition for its age). The beam in the centre isn't there but this doesn't seem to affect the sound at all.

The cab is made of birch ply (same as the new cabs) and is in the picture frame style of orange cabs.

Oh, and it weighs an absolute tonne (VERY difficult to lift with speakers).

Blown speaker in it so I'll probably be selling it empty.

any pictures?

btw, if this is one of the early White cabs, someone should jump at this opportunity - these are GREAT cabs and built like brick sh*thouses.

I'll need to see pictures to be sure though - the later White stuff is pretty p*ss btw.
