Danelectro FAB flanger; you can't get better flange for cheaper!
I too use chicken as a measurement.

Hell no, those pedals are horrible.

Money isn't an issue, I'd rather pay more for quality.

The flange pedal is pretty damn good actually. It's a bit noisy but that adds to the vibe I feel. Plus you can crank it into feed back for BBC radio-esque sound FX.

All the same, I'm not a fan of them.  As far as value for money goes though, they are phenominal - I used to have the Overdrive one.

Also, can anyone recommend me overdrive, I'm looking at the Blackstar ones, and possibly some noise gate?

For a noise gate, there's either the MXR smartgate or the Boss NS-2, as far as stompboxes are concerned.
I prefer my rackmount DBX 166XL Compressor/Limiter/Gate, but it's pretty expensive when compared to the stompboxes, and from my experience the MXR also does a pretty good job.

Actually..... rack equipment may be a good idea  :o

Although, maybe not. The midi capabilities would be more than welcome, but I dpn't want to shell out loads more than I'd need, and my family don't drive, so getting it around would be difficult.

Does the RAT have an inbuilt noise gate?

Check out Visual Sound. They have revamped their entire line and I am itching to try them out. The route 66 and jekyll and hyde are great pedals.

Another vote for the Line 6 verbzilla here, I'm very happy with mine.

OK, bought me a DD3 today, awesome pedal! Just need to learn how to use it now.

I think I'll take the previous advice, and forget about a reverb pedal until I'm definite I need one.

So now I'm after -

Chorus
Phase 90 possibly?

Anything else?

Oh, and can I use a normal adapter to run the Boss pedal, as it says only use the PSA ones, but I have one with the same power and polarity, a LYNX one?

Yes, any Regulated 9V adapter with the same polarity, which supplies at least the current (mA) that the pedal requires will be fine. Remember it MUST be a "regulated" supply.

You need a wah. Everyone needs a wah.

I don't need a wah, thankyou very much.

BTW, apologies to all. I seem to be in a rather argumentative mood today.  I'll try and keep it under control.
