My first BKP guitar
« on: August 28, 2005, 06:06:27 PM »
Hey. After months and months of wanting some BKP i final got some cash for my birthday and bought a camo set of Nailbombs for my Ibanez RGT2020.

They are amazing pups. Im gonna do some clips asap. So look out for some ultra metal clips as well as some beautiful cleans. I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the whole BKP team, especially Steve, who has helped me throughout this process.

Here are some pics.

Ill get some better quality pics soon as well.

I think that mounting rings would detract from the apperance too much, they wouldn't fit any way, the neck Pup is touching the neck!

I am the opposite. I hate mounting rings. I also think they effect the tone and prefer direct mounting.

Ill get the clips soon. Any requests?

Man that's a nice fiddle, I like how the wood contrasts with the colouration of the pickups, very classy.

Yeah it looks awesome. I looked at it under a light bulb and it looked nice but took it into sunlight and it really looked amazing. The photos dont do the pickups justice.

I like your guitar, I think covered pickups direct mounted usually look a bit strange, but it is more subtle (i.e not shiny) with the camo, looks good.

On there way. Got band practice tomorrow, so at night i should be all ready. Got to get the right tone for them as well.

Im using a POD for now. It has some brilliant possibilities, just got to work around with it a bit. If anyone else has a POD Xt and would like to hear their tones through the pickups be my guess to send them over to me.

Going to do

Pull Me Under Solo by Dream Theater
Blackwater Park(clean middle section) by Opeth
Deliverance Solo by Opeth

Im in drop D on this guitar so im a little bit limited for rhythms stuff so i might do some Lamb of God tracks if i get the chance.
