pardon my newbieshness but how does a 27 baritone sound different from 25.5 scale?
Is it just the longer scale providing extra tension so you can down-tone lower than normal?
p.s. the more i look at that the more GAS starts accumulate

If I remember correctly, a baritone is tuned to B... I think... ?

All 7 strings are :o

Having said that Stef carpenter tuned down to F# on his 7 string baritones before he got his 8's which hes going to tune down to E!!!!! for the new album.

I'm not really a maple board guy, and if they want to sell guitars with EBONY boards for that little, who am I to argue?

just noticed their seven strings have a 27" scale length. is this normal for seven strings or are these baritone models? i thought it was just an extra string...

It depends really. A lot of 7 strings now are 27ish, Ibanez being the big trend bucker (except on it's Korn models). A B string is a B string at the end of the day, wether it's 6 or 7 strings, so it becomes something of a trade off, stability of the B string Vs bending of the upper strings, although of course the increased length means you could put very light unwound strings on with little difficulty. I personally don't feel a huge difference between 24.75 and 25.5 when it comes to bending, so I'm hoping 27 won't be a problem.

However
24.75" - 25.5" = 0.75"
24.75" - 27" = 2.25"
25.5" - 27" = 1.5"

I'm sure you took that into consideration though.
