I'd only get a Tele with a Humbucker in the bridge.
Don't know where I can find one though, don't want a H-H Tele.

Ahem.My baby. Rocking esquire, oh yeah.

Didn't you have to route that though?

All of a sudden i really like telecasters...

Oh god, not GAS again, PLEASE!!!! :(

I have parents, so really there is no cure for my GAS. :P

I routed it myself with a hand drill and a chisel. Felt like the manliest man ever doing so. Results are totally worth it, rocks harder than a fat strat due to the larger mass of wood. Also the new MIM teles have a humbucker route at the neck, something i noticed AFTER getting my blank pickguard...

As for the 4way switch, it gives a nice fat tone with a hike in volume. Mention it to Tim and he will add the extra grounding cable you need.

Most definitely go for a 4 way switch-gives you the standard tones plus the extra series option.

+1 on that.

I was sceptical everytime 38thBeatle said this until I got a Baja Tele a few weeks back. I don't tend to use the extra position a lot yet, but it's definitely worth having it there, and it is a very usable sound.

The two worries that I had are not issues AT ALL (is there a big volume jump? - no. Will I accidentally switch to it instead of the neck? - no).

Teles rule - save the original pickups and get some BKPs, you'll be glad you did when the 70s Tele prices start going through the roof.
