trology bridge pup (warning: Country type material)
« on: April 03, 2008, 04:58:40 PM »
Doubt this'll be anyones cup of tea here but..

This is a cover tune originally done by Vince Gill and Allison Krause..and my friends that I play a 3 piece with (Eddie & Shirley) are the singers here and had me do a version that included a lead break..I'm also playing all of the other instruments.

It's all the BKP trilogy for any "steel" parts you're hearing (I use a combination of tremolo and fingers normally but I stooped to a glass slide on this) ..one of the guitar parts has the middle pup of my Strat barely dialed in with the volume rolled back on the master for some of this. The sound of the BKP should be clear enough for anyone wanting to hear it squeaky clean. "The Reason Why" is the name of the tune.

Is Tim making a new line of modified Trilogies?

No, not my cup of tea but the guitar tone is really divine.

Thanks anyaway lol...the one he made for me has a zinc plate on the bottom...I wanted something that could sound like a P-90 and still get Strat or Tele sounds with the volume lowered (it works for me) I don't know if he's making them other than a custom order tho?

[edit] Just spoke with my friend Archie who got the pup for me and introduced me to Tim and I gave him the specs that I wanted, I believe I'm the 1st to have one special made (trilogy) with a zinc plate like that but I think he'll make them to your specs now according to Arch (she lives in the UK..I'm in USA)
